Woman Arrested for Stealing More than $280,000 from Friend's Estate

Cecilia Sarachilli of Bristol was arrested and charged with forgery, theft and related charges.

Bensalem Police arrested a Bristol lady for stealing more than $280,000 from a friend's estate, according to police. On Friday, Jan. 11, 52-year-old Cecilia Sarachilli of the 600 block of Spring Street in Bristol was arrested by Bensalem Police and charged with forgery, theft and related charges after she allegedly stealing more than $280,000 from an estate of a long time friend, according to police reports. Sarachilli was Power of Attorney and Executrix of the trust when her friend was placed into an assisted living home back in December 2008. The friend passed away in July 2011. When the friend went into the home, Sarachilli started stealing more than $180,000 in cash and took out a $100,000 line of credit from a home the friend owned, …

Police Charge Two in Check Fraud Scheme

Suspects are facing felony forgery charges.

A Philadelphia-area man and woman are facing charges this month after police say they passed fraudulent checks and made withdrawals at more than half a dozen banks in Bucks and Montgomery counties, including one in Bensalem. Plymouth Police have charged both Dae Woo, 55, of Harleysville, and Young Miller, 57, of Philadelphia, with 26 criminal counts that include felony forgery and theft by deception. In an affidavit of probable cause, police say they were first approached by a TD Bank corporate investigator, who had uncovered the alleged scheme, in late November. The investigator told police that he had been monitoring suspicious activity dating back to July 2012, when Woo allegedly opened a bank account in Willow Grove. Although the …

Counterfeit Money Suspected at Parx

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose Station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Dec. 22-26, state troopers stationed at Parx Casino reported the following incidents: *A suspected counterfeit $100 bill was discovered from an attempted exchange at the cashiers. The investigation is continuing.  *A black Apple iPod 4S, 32 GB fell from the victims pocket while on the gaming floor. A few seconds later, an unidentified male picked up the phone and exited the casino. The suspect was a white male and was wearing a sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black baseball hat. The suspect was seen exiting the casino out of the West entrance/exit with the stolen phone in hand. Police Make Two Tuesday Theft Arrests

Bensalem police Tuesday arrested two men on theft and related charges.

On Tuesday, Nov. 13, Bensalem police made the following arrests: At 11:40 a.m., a 27-year-old Bensalem man was arrested in the 3600 block of Horizon Boulevard, Trevose and charged with forgery, access device fraud, theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception. He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $70,000 bail. At 3:43 p.m., a 32-year-old Bristol man was arrested in the 2500 block of Knights Road and charged with retail theft. He will receive a summons.

Between March 17-23, state police responded to the following incidents: On March 17 at 9:36 a.m., state police arrested R.J. Condrey, 42, of Philadelphia, for failure to comply with Megan’s Law registration. He was processed and arraigned before District Judge Jan Vislosky and sent to Bucks County Prison. Trooper Joseph Krut investigated the incident. On March 17 at 4:35 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported theft. Police said a 51-year-old female from Philadelphia inadvertently left $137.45 worth of credits in a slot machine. Seconds later she returned, but another patron had already removed the credits. Troopers Report DUI, Fraud, Counterfeit Cash

The following arrest information was provided by State Police from the Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between July 18-19, state police at the Trevose station reported the following incidents: State police are investigating a reported forgery that took place at the PennDOT drivers license center in Bensalem. Police said Martha A. Pena, of Bristol, obtained two Pennsylvania licenses using fraudulent identity. The incident was investigated by Trooper Christopher Nacios. On July 18 at 9:52 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Daniel Steskal, 35, of Holland, on I-95 at milepost 32.2 for speeding. He was found to be intoxicated and in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and given a blood test. Trooper Matthew Lopresto investigated the incident. Troopers Report Harassment, Casino Incidents

On June 29 at 9:33 p.m., state police responded to the 400 block of Crescent Avenue, Penndel, for a reported harassment incident. A 53-year-old male and a 31-year-old female got into an argument. According to police, the female struck the male in the head and back with a closed fist. The male then grabbed the female by the throat. They were separated and both were cited for harassment. The male left the house for the evening. Trooper Matthew Thom investigated the incident. On June 29 around 11:20 p.m., a 59-year-old male attempted to exchange a counterfeit $10 bill at Parx Casino. Troopers Report Forgery, Mischief, Harassment

On June 15, state police from the Trevose station reported the following incidents: State police are investigating a forgery case. On April 13, Crandall K. Speights, 29, of Willingboro, obtained two Pennsylvania drivers licenses at the Drivers License Center at 4201 Neshaminy Boulevard utilizing fraudulent identity. Charges have been filed against him in district court. Trooper Christopher Nacios continues to investigate the incident. On June 14, state police investigated an act of criminal mischief at the Cornwells Heights Park & Ride lot. Police said an unknown actor damaged a driver side front window of a vehicle owned by a 49-year-old Levittown female. The unidentified suspect fled the scene.
