Gas Prices Drop for Second Week

Find the cheapest gas in Bensalem.

The national average for a gallon of gas has dropped 9 cents to begin March, which is opposite of what motorists are used to, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. The price increased by 6 cents last year at this time and by 17 cents in 2011. In Bucks and Montgomery Counties, gas prices dropped 3.5 cents a gallon to an average of $3.709, the second week in a row to see that decline. Gas Prices Take a Dip

Find the cheapest gas in Bensalem.

These recent declines and the fact that the national retail average has fallen below the year-ago price supports AAA’s prediction that gas prices will peak this spring at a lower level than recent years. Locally, the average price for a gallon of …

Gas Prices Rise Slightly

Find the cheapest gas in Bensalem Patch.

After several weeks of a downward trend, the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Pennsylvania is $3.533, which is up 4.2 cents from a week ago. This rise, however, is less than half of the nearly 14-cent increase during the same period last year, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. Prices have risen largely because of higher crude oil prices. Locally, gas prices rose 3.7 cents in the Bucks and Montgomery Counties over the week, which is 2.1 cents higher than last month and 1.8 cents lower than a year ago. The national average price of a gallon of self-serve regular is $3.364, up 5.4 cents, while the average locally is $3.492. Nearby, the cheapest price for regular is $3.38 at the Sunoco on 3419 Street Rd. in …
