Stolen Handguns Recovered at Gun Buyback

February's two gun buyback events netted 586 firearms.

Cash was given to those who brought in guns, but the money was supplied by the Federal Drug Forfeiture, Aninsman said. The purpose of the buyback was to get guns off the street and to reduce gun violence, Aninsman told Patch in February.  "These 586 firearms will never have a chance to be stolen from a victim or sold on the street and will never get into the hands of criminals," he said. I have 2 guns that work, but are old, and not worth much. I took them to a gun show, and was offered $25 for each one, by a gun dealer. I will be taking them to this buy-back, and getting twice the money for them. Then I will take the $100, and use it to buy a better gun. Thanks Bensalem Taxpayers!   more ›
