State Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that took place on Saturday.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that took place on I-95 North in Bensalem Township on Saturday. The accident happened at 10:12 p.m. near mile-marker 36.5 just north of exit 37, a police report said. At that time, a 24-year-old woman from Ewing, N.J., was traveling in the middle lane, when a driver who was traveling in the left lane swerved into her lane and struck the driver side front door of her Pontiac G6. After the impact, the striking vehicle fled the scene, according to police. The Pontiac sustained damage on the driver side door, driver side mirror and driver side fender, police said. The driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident turned himself in to authorities, Bensalem Police say.
The man responsible for a Tuesday morning hit-and-run accident that killed at 71-year-old pedestrian turned himself in to authorities, police said. Mario Rodriguez-Morales, 40, of the 2900 block of Knights Road, turned himself in to Bensalem Police after leaving the scene of a hit and run at Knights Road just north of Dunksferry Road that killed a pedestrian, according to police. Bensalem Police reported to the scene at 6:09 a.m. Police identified the victim as Madanago Bakthavatchalu, a 71-year-old resident of the 2500 block of Knight Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Bensalem Police Department. Between Sept. 19-21, Trevose troopers responded to the following incidents: On Sept. 19 at 8 a.m., state police responded to Woodhaven Road and Bristol Pike for the report of a hit-and-run accident. Police said three vehicles were traveling eastbound on Woodhaven Road when one changed lanes abruptly into the lane the other two were driving in. On Aug. 17 at 9:43 p.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run accident on I-95 southbound at milepost 35 in Bensalem. Police said a light green older model Buick changed lanes striking the front driver side of another vehicle. The Buick fled the scene southbound. The driver of the struck vehicle continued driving for about a mile to obtain the Buick’s license plate. No injuries were reported. Trooper Erik Sinwich investigated the incident.

The following information was provided by Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction. On Aug. 8 at 6:26 p.m., state police responded to the scene of a three-vehicle crash on the I-95 northbound Exit 49 off ramp at its intersection with Yardley Newtown Road. Police said the crash involved a chain reaction with one vehicle striking another, which caused the struck vehicle to strike yet another vehicle. The first vehicle, described as a Blue Nissan Altima with front-end damage, fled the scene westbound on Route 332. State police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred Monday on eastbound Woodhaven Road just past the Bristol Pike exit. According to the police report, the crash occurred at 5:58 p.m. Police said a Hyundai Tucson driven by a 22-year-old woman from Philadelphia was traveling east on Woodhaven Road when an older model Ford Taurus rear-ended the Hyundai, then backed up on Woodhaven Road and exited at Bristol Pike. Between June 10-16, Trevose troopers investigated the following incidents: On June 10 at 1:53 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on Route 1 southbound at I-95 in Middletown. After investigation, the vehicle was determined to be stolen out of New Brunswick, NJ. The driver, Tyler R. Bartholomew, 18, of Ewing, NJ, was charged with receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of an automobile. Trooper Lee Nolan investigated the incident. On June 11 at 4:42 p.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run crash on Route 1 northbound at Parkvale Avenue in Middletown. Between May 20-24, Trevose troopers responded to the following incidents: On May 20 at 3:05 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound near Exit 37 in Bensalem. The driver, Rafael J.
