Police: Woman Used Stolen Credit Card in Bensalem

Horsham Township Police are seeking a white female who was seen on video surveillance allegedly using a credit card that authorities said had been stolen during an armed robbery.

The Horsham Township Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a woman who they say was caught on video surveillance on several occasions using a credit card that had been stolen earlier this month during an armed robbery. The white female, who appears to be wearing glasses in a surveillance image shared by the police, allegedly used the stolen credit card at a number of businesses and a bank in the lower Bucks County areas of Bensalem, Bristol, Croydon and Morrisville. Beware Texts About Fake Gift Cards

The Bucks County Office of Consumer Protection offers advice to a Warrington man who got a text claiming that he had won a $1,000 gift card.

Q.      I have been holiday shopping at various locations throughout Bucks County ever since Black Friday. It has been a hectic few weeks but I am close to finishing up getting all the items on my list. Then yesterday I received a text message on my cell phone from Best Buy letting me know I had won a $1,000 gift card! What great news; just in time for the holidays! The text directed me to follow the link to their website in order to enter the code number that was included in the text message. I have not done this yet because, when I shared the text with my wife, she said it was a scam and that I did not win anything. I disagree.  I think I did win.  D.M. Troopers Report Theft, Identity Theft, DUI

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

On Feb. 22, Trevose troopers reported the following incidents: State Police are reporting an identity theft incident that occurred on Dec. 15. Police said Joseph. J. Piazza, 32, of Levittown, the Pennsylvania driver’s license of Preston J. Piazza, 31, of Levittown. Charges were filed in district court. Trooper Christopher Nacios investigated the incident. On Feb. 20 at 4:05 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported theft. Police said a 54-year-old Philadelphia woman took $200 out of an 84-year-old man’s pocket and fled the scene. The victim did not want to file charges. Trooper Daniel Reed investigated the incident. On Feb. 21 at 2:15 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding (83 mph in a 55 mph zone) on I-95 …

Police Make Five Thursday Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Bensalem Township Police Department. It does not imply conviction. On Thursday, Oct. 13, Bensalem police made the following arrests: At 1:10 a.m., Daris Downs Summerlin, 52, of the 400 block of Street Road, Trevose, was arrested in the 2400 block of Byberry Road on an outstanding warrant out of Bucks County He was turned over to Bucks County Sheriff’s Department. At 11:20 a.m., Samantha Lee Burke, 21, of the 200 block of S. Colbolt Ridge Drive, Levittown, was arrested in the 2400 block of Byberry Road on an outstanding warrant out of Bucks County. Police Make Five Thursday Arrests

Charges included harassment, disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, identity theft, warrants, public drunkenness and theft.

The following arrest information was provided by the Bensalem Township Police Department. It does not imply conviction. On Thursday, July 21, Bensalem police made the following arrests: At 4:37 a.m., Keith A. Hyndman, 28, of the 3500 block of East End Avenue, Trevose, was arrested at Brownsville Road and Philadelphia Avenue, and charged with harassment and disorderly conduct. He was issued citations. At 5:29 a.m., Andrew Edward Mutt, 21, of the 8800 block of Bradford Street, Philadelphia, was arrested in the 2200 block of Lincoln Highway, Trevose and charged with false imprisonment, impersonating a public servant, identity theft and disorderly conduct. Police Make 15 Weekend Arrests

Charges included forgery, theft, identity theft, aggravated assault, weapons, terroristic threats, harassment, public drunkenness, underage drinking and receiving stolen property.

Between June 24 and June 26, Bensalem police made the following arrests: On June 24 at 12:19 p.m., Keith Byrd, 39, of the 2300 block of Fernon Street, Philadelphia was arrested in the 1900 block of Byberry Road and charged with forgery, receiving stolen property, theft by deception and identity theft. He was released on $75,000 unsecured bail. On June 24 at 1:15 p.m., Mario A. Digidio, 47, of the 1300 block of Park Avenue, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He was issued a citation.
