Missing Bensalem Man Found, Detained in Philadelphia

Marcian Newman who was last seen in Bensalem on Jan. 27, has been located by police.

Marcian Newman, the Bensalem man who was last seen on Jan. 27, has been located and is currently being detained in Philadelphia, police said. "He is currently detained in Philadelphia, under an alias name, on criminal charges related to an incident in Philadelphia," said Sgt. Andrew Aninsman of the Bensalem Township Police Department's Special Victim Unit. This news comes just a day after Patch spoke to Newman's mother, Sondra Yordy, who was seeking the community's help in locating her 35-year-old son who suffers from schizophrenia.  At that time, Newman was last seen on Jan. 27 leaving his residence at 1928 Arrowood Dr. in Bensalem.  Yordy said that it wasn't unusual for her son to leave the house to buy cigarettes or meet up with his …

Missing, Endangered Man Sought in Bensalem

Bensalem Township Police Department is looking for a missing man who suffers from schizophrenia.

Police are still looking for a schizophrenic Bensalem man who was last seen more than a week ago, police said.  Marcian Newman, 35, was last seen on Jan. 27 at his residence at 1928 Arrowood Dr. in Bensalem, according to township police.  "We're still looking for him," Sgt. Andrew Aninsman of the Special Victims Unit told Patch. Newman is a 6-foot-tall black man with brown hair and brown eyes. He weighs 165 pounds and has a goatee. Aninsman said that Newman's family reported him missing. Wow, he looks so familiar... I can't put my finger on this one. I work with the public & if anything, I seen him in Warminster, maybe @ Bucks Landing Apartments or the Wal-Mart next to them. It's possible he took a wrong bus or train & ended up @ the wrong stop, I will keep a look out Tom   more ›
