How do we keep our kids from becoming the ones described in a Central Bucks teacher's blog?

This week's question relates to the CB East teacher who was removed for blogging about her students: "So I'm reading about this teacher from Central Bucks and what she said about her kids and how people are reacting. My question is this, how do I know if my kid is turning into one of these slackers? I mean, I think my kid is great, and the teachers never give me any reason to think otherwise. But how do I know that I'm seeing the real picture?" Great question!
