10 Inches of Snow Possible in Bensalem

The National Weather Service is now calling for 4 to 10 inches of snow in Bucks County.

A winter storm could bring 4 to 10 inches of snow to the Bensalem area Friday and Saturday, the National Weather Service predicts. A winter storm warning is in effect from 3 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. on Saturday, according to the weather service. The warning first called for 4 to 8 inches of snow with traces of ice, but was increased to an estimate of 4 to 10 inches. The storm may start as rain and become snow in the afternoon. The warning states that 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected for several hours Friday evening, with a small chance for a thunderstorm. The snow is expected to taper to flurries by dawn on Saturday and be a sunny, but cold afternoon. Bensalem Patch will continue to monitor the forecast, but for now, the weather service…

Weekend Snow, Severe Storm Looming

A massive winter storm is going to hit the Northeast Friday night bringing 1 to 30 inches of snow.

Winter Storm Nemo is going to wallop New England down to New York this weekend, according to The Weather Channel. It could be the biggest storm to hit the area in years, bringing up to 30 inches of snow to the worst hit regions. Bucks and Montgomery Counties will be at the very southern parts of the storm and will get a nasty wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain with little snow accumulation, according to the National Weather Service. I moved from Holland to northern Wisconsin back in Sept. We get some serious snow here. Fortunately people here are used to it and panic doesn't set in. No run on the grocery store, no last minute craziness and most fortunately people tend to drive within the limits of the vehicles and roads.
