Business Association to Hold Card Exchange at Parx

The Bensalem Business Association will hold a business card exchange at Parx Casino on Thursday.

The Bensalem Business Association is hosting a breakfast business card exchange at Parx Casino on Thursday, Feb. 28. "The business card exchange will be open to everyone," said Pondeli Hajioannou, the business association's president. Furthermore, he said that he has invited other area business associations to attend the event. The breakfast event will be held on the casino's third floor in the Steak House. The event begins at 8 a.m. and will cost $25. The price includes a breakfast buffet. In addition to mingling with other local business associates for two hours, participants will be able to chat with special guests. Police Searching for Missing 82-Year-Old

Bensalem Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing New Jersey man with dementia; he was last seen at Parx Casino.

Police are asking for help finding a missing 82-year-old man who suffers from dementia, accorind to a news release from Bensalem PD. Dominick Paparella, of West Windsor N.J., was last seen at the Parx Casino at about 5 a.m. Saturday morning, Jan. 5. He was last seen operating 2001 silver Infiniti I30 New Jersey plate # KUK66X, but he has not driven a vehicle for over 1 year. Sometime Friday, he was driven to the casino by his wife. His wife was in the Casino when Paparella took the vehicle.  A silver alert has been activated in New Jersey. Paparella may have travelled back to New Jersey, but his whereabouts now is unknown. Counterfeit Money Found at Parx Casino

One three separate days, Parx Casino cashiers discover bills they suspected to be counterfeit.

On Dec. 21, 22 and 23, Parx Casino cashiers reported to the State Police they had customers who tried to exchange counterfeit bills. On Dec.21 at about 7:20 p.m., a cashier discovered a counterfeit $20 bill; on Dec. 22, two suspected counterfeit $5 bills were found, and on Dec. 23 a $100 was stopped at the cashier. The bills were taken from the customers as evidence, and the State Police report the investigation is continuing.

Counterfeit Money Suspected at Parx

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose Station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Dec. 22-26, state troopers stationed at Parx Casino reported the following incidents: *A suspected counterfeit $100 bill was discovered from an attempted exchange at the cashiers. The investigation is continuing.  *A black Apple iPod 4S, 32 GB fell from the victims pocket while on the gaming floor. A few seconds later, an unidentified male picked up the phone and exited the casino. The suspect was a white male and was wearing a sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black baseball hat. The suspect was seen exiting the casino out of the West entrance/exit with the stolen phone in hand.
