Bensalem Police Reports

Teen in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Car at Bus Stop

A Bucks County Technical High School student is hospitalized after being struck by a car on Bensalem Boulevard this morning.

  A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Bensalem Boulevard near Portside Drive this morning. Bensalem police Sgt. Andrew Aninsman reported that the Bucks County Technical High School student was attempting to cross the roadway in order to get to the bus stop at the time of the accident. The student was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital. “At this time the student is in critical condition,” Aninsman said. A story on ABC said the vehicle stopped at the scene and had a green light at the intersection when the accident occurred. Check back for further information.

Police Need Help to ID Accident Victim

He is described as a Hispanic male early 20s wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, gray and blue Nike Sneakers.

Bensalem police are attempting to identify a pedestrian who was struck on Street Road near Mechanicsville Road in the area of the Giant Food Store on June 6 at 12:15 a.m. Police said a blue Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound on Street Road when his vehicle struck a pedestrian who had crossed over the westbound lanes of the road. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and called 911. The pedestrian has not been identified. He is currently at Aria Torresdale Hospital and is listed in extreme critical condition. He is described as a Hispanic male early 20s wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, gray and blue Nike Sneakers.  Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this accident.
