Island Sun Tanning Salon Robber Sought

Bensalem Township police are looking for a man responsible for a robbery at Island Sun Tanning Salon.

Bensalem Police need the public's help identifying a man who allegedly robbed the Island Sun Tanning Salon a week ago. On Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 p.m., a man who was caught on a surveillance video, entered Island Sun Tanning Salon at 5633 Bensalem Blvd. and demanded money from the cash register, according to police. "The suspect implied that he had a handgun but never displayed it," Sgt. Andrew Aninsman said.  The man is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has facial hair. Attempted Robbery Reported at Route 13 Burger King

A man concealed his face during an attempt to rob the Burger King in Bristol Borough after dark on Wednesday.

A man with a handgun tried to rob the Burger King at Route 13 and Beaver Dam Road in Bristol Borough at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. According to Investigations Sgt. Randy Morris, a man entered the fast food restaurant and jumped the counter. Once behind the counter, he pulled a handgun and confronted the manager about the store's money. The suspect appeared to get "spooked" and ran from the restaurant, Morris said. No customers were in the store and no employees were hurt, police said. Officers from the borough and township responded and searched the woods behind the Burger King, Morris told Patch. A 29-year-old man from Bensalem is in jail after robbing and stabbing a man who gave him a cigarette.

A 29-year-old man Bensalem man is in jail after robbing and stabbing a man who gave him a cigarette, according to reports. A PhillyBurbs article said that police responded to the 2500 block of Old Trevose Road after midnight for a report of a suspect armed with a knife and when they arrived at the scene, they saw a man who was later identified as James Clarke being chased by another man. Police then chased Clarke, who resisted arrest when police caught up to him, PhillyBurbs said. The man who was robbed and stabbed told police that he and his son were standing outside their apartment when Clarke approached them and asked for a cigarette, the article said. Update, 5:03 p.m. The last murder that occurred in Hilltown Township was in 1990 at 12 Key Drive, when Eric Motis stabbed his neighbor Louise C. Hoopes, 42, a secretary at Grand View Hospital, and her sons Douglas, 16, and Daniel, 14, in their beds. Motis, 26, committed suicide in prison in 1998. Motis was facing three life sentences after pleading guilty at trial in 1991. Update, 4:23 p.m. The Reporter reports the black pickup truck has been located in Upper Bucks County. Police Arrest Philly Man for 7-11 Robbery

Philadelphia police said Brien Boedeker robbed a 7-11 on Frankford Avenue, just down the street from Andalusia on Nov. 1.

  On Nov. 15, Philadelphia police arrested a man from the Northeast for an armed robbery of a 7-11 store near the Bensalem border. According to police, on Nov. 1 at 6:20 a.m. Brien Boedeker entered the convenience store in the 9900 block of Frankford Avenue. He asked for a pack of cigarettes and pulled a gun when the employee turned. He then demanded money. The 7-11 employee opened the cash register and placed the drawer on the counter. After taking $280 in cash from the drawer the offender fled the store. On Nov. 14, Northeast detectives received additional information after Boedeker was seen in the area operating a 1996 Jeep on Frankford Avenue. Update: Police Arrest Three Teens in Supermarket Robbery

Philly police said tips from the public led to the arrest of three teens who allegedly assaulted and robbed a man in the Franklin Mills Pathmark.

  The following information was provided by the Philadelphia Police Department. Where an arrest is listed, it does not indicate a conviction. Philadelphia police have announced the arrest of three teens in the Sept. 29 robbery of a 47-year-old man in the Pathmark supermarket at the Franklin Mills Mall. Police say tips from the public lead to these arrests. Police said the victim was approached by the teens inside the store. He was struck with a glass bottle, fell to the floor, kicked and punched while on the floor and had his money clip containing $100 taken from him. Police Search for Franklin Mills Supermarket Robbery Suspects

Philadelphia police are looking for multiple suspects that allegedly robbed a man inside the Pathmark supermarket at the Franklin Mills Mall.

  The following information was provided by Philadelphia police. On Sept. 29 at 9:55, the complainant, a 47 year-old-male, was shopping inside Pathmark located at 85 Franklin Mills Boulevard when he was approached by three unknown males and an unknown female. According to police, one suspect began to assault the complaint and struck him with a glass bottle. When the complainant fell to the floor, the other offenders began to kick and punch him. One of the offenders took the complainant’s money clip containing $100 in cash. Video: Police Search for Suspects in Multiple Robberies of Casino Patrons

Police are searching for someone who follows casino patrons home and robs them of their winnings.

  The Philadelphia Police Department is currently investigating a robbery pattern of patrons of the Sugar House Casino and, in one instance, Parx Casino. In each incident, patrons cashed-in their winnings and are followed to their homes. The victims are robbed prior to entering their homes. Video: Bensalem Police Search for Gas Station Robber

  Bensalem police are looking for a man who robbed a local gas station and was caught on surveillance video. On Sept. 6 at approximately 5:50 a.m., a male approached the cashier booth and ordered the gas station attendant to give me the money. According to a release, the subject punched the victim in the left eye and they fought for the money. They struggled over the money and exchanges punches outside the booth. The subject got away and ran behind the Luk Oil into Colonial Point Apartments. The actor was described as white male, 6'2" 240 lbs, wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. He had a short scruffy beard, blonde hair and was between 45-50 years old. The subject got away with about $50. Anyone with information is asked to call …
