Party Train Rolls into Feasterville

The Party Train, which is located two doors down from the Joe's Train Station, is a new place to hold events and introduce trains to a younger audience.

When the newest owners of Joe's Train Station purchased the shop back in 2010, they said they always hoped to attract a younger clientele. Two years later, they've opened The Party Train to help them do just that. The Party Train opened its doors, just two doors down from the train store, on March 24. The event room can be used for birthday parties, play dates and more. "I always wanted to do a party place because there is a huge demand," Wolff said. "We didn't have a space [at the train store]." "It's a very unique idea," Molino-Wolff said. "No one else is doing …

Times are hard and business owners are looking for good people to hire. Anywhere you can go with a group of owners to network with is a plus. Take your resume and pass it out and talk to owners, they might not be hiring but they might know someone who is.Now saying this does not invite you to crash a BBA meeting. The Expo that was open to public would have been good. So look for other ones that …   more ›

SONIC Drive-In Restaurant To Reopen Next Month

New ownership group taking over after January closing

The SONIC drive-in restaurant on Street Road, which opened in 2008 and closed in January, will soon reopen under new ownership and management. The franchise plans to hire 80-100 employees, 20-40 of which will be full time, according to company officials. Don Welsh, one of three members of a SONIC franchise group, said the restaurant will reopen next month. "We're shooting for mid to late May," he said. "We're going to a lot of remodeling," he added. That includes new kitchen equipment, redone bathrooms and new patio furniture. Welsh, a Chester County resident, indicated reopening the Bensalem site was an easy decision for his group, which owns and operates eight other SONICs in Montgomery, Berks and Lancaster counties. Bensalem Lawn Care Business Took Root At Early Age

Landis started with his neighbor's lawn as a pre-teen & now has about 80 customers.

Brian Landis was 11 or 12 when he started cutting his neighbor's lawn on Williamson Court. Today he manicures 19 of the 30 lawns on the block along with about 60 others in lower Bucks. And he has two trucks, several employees and bigger plans for the future. His mother, Kathy Doran, isn't surprised. "Even when he was little you'd see him with his little bubble lawnmower in the backyard behind his dad when he cut the grass," she said. "It's something he enjoys," she added. Landis -- now 21 and pursuing a degree in landscape architecture and business entrepreneurships at Temple University -- recently became sole proprietor of Landis Lawn Care Maintenance. He used to just cut his neighbors' lawns. Today he works about 60 hours a week in …

If your kids play softball or baseball, Extra Innings is head a shoulders above any other sporting goods store in Bensalem. For soccer, I use Dan El, 2381 Neshaminy Blvd. I would have to go to Dicks for golf gear. No way I'd pay BCC prices when Dick's is 5 minues away.   more ›
