Drug Possession Charges Pending After Traffic Stop

Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop where the driver was found with possible drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop in Bensalem where the driver driver was found with possible drugs and paraphernalia, according to police reports. A 30-year-old Levittown woman was pulled over for a traffic violation on Monday at 10:38 a.m., a report from the state police said. The traffic stop took place on I-95 South just past mile marker 33 in Bensalem. After further investigation, Trooper Preston M. Gray found the driver of the vehicle to be "in possession of a green leafy substance, suspected to marijuana," the report said. Drug paraphernalia was also found. Charges are being filed in district court, according to the report.

Public Urination Ends with Possible DUI Charges

DUI charges are pending for a man who was observed urinating on the side of the road, according to state police reports.

DUI charges are pending for a man who was observed urinating in public, according to state police reports. On Saturday, April 6 at 2:46 a.m., Trooper Thomas Geerlof observed a 32-year-old man urinating on the side of the road on I-95 South near mile marker 33.8 in Bensalem, according to a police report. The man was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol and was taken to St. Mary Medical Center where a blood sample was taken. DUI charges are pending, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a stolen vehicle before the driver fled and crashed into another vehicle.

A driver of a stolen car crashed into another vehicle after trying to elude a police officer on Monday afternoon, State Police said. Korrie Dayanar Santiago, 21, of Philadelphia was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving without a license and various traffic violations, after police said she failed to stop at a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Monday, April 8. State Trooper Bernie J. Mullen, Jr., attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Ford Road at Route 413 in Bristol Township at 1:40 p.m., when Santiago failed to stop, according to the police report. State Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that took place on Saturday.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that took place on I-95 North in Bensalem Township on Saturday. The accident happened at 10:12 p.m. near mile-marker 36.5 just north of exit 37, a police report said. At that time, a 24-year-old woman from Ewing, N.J., was traveling in the middle lane, when a driver who was traveling in the left lane swerved into her lane and struck the driver side front door of her Pontiac G6. After the impact, the striking vehicle fled the scene, according to police. The Pontiac sustained damage on the driver side door, driver side mirror and driver side fender, police said. The driver of the Pontiac was wearing her lap and shoulder belt, according to the report, and suffered no injury. The …

State police responded to a domestic assault in progress between a 70- and 71-year-old married couple, according to reports.

Trevose Troopers responded to a domestic assault in progress between a 70- and 71-year-old married couple, according to a state police report. On Wednesday, at 9:18 a.m., Cpl. Joseph Altieri responded to a home near Besnalem on the 300 block of Main Street in Hulmeville Borough for a report of a domestic dispute. George Unger, 70, and Roberta Unger, 71, had engaged in a physical altercation that began Tuesday evening and went into Wednesday morning, police said. The husband had visible injuries to his eye and forearms and the wife complained of pain to her shoulder and left arm from being thrown to the floor, police said. A seven-car crash that took place on Wednesday on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Bensalem is being investigated by state police.

A seven-car crash that took place on Wednesday on the Pennslyvania Turnpike near Bensalem is being investigated by state police. The accident was reportedly caused by a ladder that fell off a vehicle. The ladder struck several cars and caused others to swerve and crash, according to NBC-10. Three people were injured as a result of the pile-up, PhillyBurbs reported. Alerts went out around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday of a multi-car accident on eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Bensalem interchange. According to the report, all lanes had been blocked by the crash, and traffic didn't start moving until 4:30 p.m. The three people who were injured were sent to the hospital, one to Abington Memorial and the other two to Frankford-Torresdale, …

Woman Harassed Ex-Husband, Taken to Hospital, Police Say

Hill Avenue resident accused of showing up several times at ex-spouse's home unannounced.

A woman was charged with harassment and then requested to be taken in for a mental health evaluation, according to reports from state police. A resident of the 300 block of Hill Avenue in Langhorne on Jan. 31 called 911 to report that his ex-wife was harassing him, Pennsylvania State Police reported. His ex-wife allegedly arrived at the Hill Avenue home several times unannounced and began arguing and fighting with the man.  Trevose Trooper Martin arrived at the man's home around 7:15 a.m. and charged the ex-wife, who is from Bensalem, with harassment. She then requested to be taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, police said.

Police: Man Attempted to Flee After Traffic Stop

State Police released recent crime information, including charges for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.

Charges for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer were filed after a man refused to pull over during a traffic stop, according to state police reports. In late December, Cpl. Andrew V. Hartnett ran a check of a registration plate displayed on a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 to find that the registration was suspended for insurance cancellation, a release from the Pennsylvania State Police said. Hartnett initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 48-year-old man from Newtown, was pulled over on Veterans Highway, just north of Bath Road in Bristol Township, police said. State Police Make 3 DUI Arrests

State Police released recent crime information, including three DUI citations.

DUI charges are pending for three individuals after state police responded to three separate incidents, according to reports. On Jan. 19 just before midnight, Trooper Craig M. Acord observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner traveling north on 95 near mile marker 33 in Bensalem, a police release said. The operator of the vehicle, a 29-year-old male from Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to the state police's Trevose Station where he was evaluated by Drug Recognition Expert Trooper Christopher Nacious and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The man was taken to St. Mary's Hospital for chemical testing before being transported back to the station where he was processed and …

DUI Charges Pending after Speed Stop

State Police released recent crime information, including a DUI.

DUI charges are pending after a state police officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding, according to police reports. On Sunday, Jan. 6 at 1:24 a.m., a 40-year-old man from Lawrenceville, NJ was pulled over on 95 North at mile marker 37.9 for operating his vehicle in excess of the posted speed limit, the report said. At that time, State Trooper Craig M. Acord found that the driver was intoxicated. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for chemical testing before being taken to the Trevose Station of Pennsylvania State Police where he was processed and released. This case will proceed via summons, and charges will be filed at district court.
