What better way to spend a Sunday morning than eating pancakes drenched in syrup for a good cause? On Feb. 10, two pancake breakfast benefits will take place in Bensalem. If you're an early riser, Faust Elementary will host a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m. at Applebees at 3219 Street Rd., in Bensalem. The breakfast, which benefits the school, will go until 10 a.m. Tickets cost $5 per person, but children 2 years old and younger can eat for free. Additionally, there will be raffles during the breakfast. If you'd rather have a pancake brunch, The Trevose Fire Company will serve pancakes until 1 p.m. on Sunday. Trevose Fire Company teamed up with Cradles to Crayons for a day of service.
Trevose Fire Company and Cradles to Crayons has a "very successful day" of service, according to a post on the fire company's website. The fire station was a collection point on Monday, Jan. 21 for items such as clothing, shoes, baby items, toys, school supplies and more. Cradles to Crayons volunteers were at the firehouse from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect the items so that they can be given to children living in poverty in the southeastern Pennsylvania area.
