Area Chik-fil-As Hosting Daddy-Daughter Date Night on March 4

The restaurant wants to encourage dads and their daughters to spend a little quality time over some chicken and fries.

Area Chik-fil-As are hosting their annual Daddy-Daughter Date Night on Monday, March 4. This year, Dads and their daughters are invited to spend a special evening enjoying dinner, spending some quality time and enjoying the special events Chik-fil-A has planned. Dads and daughters who want to participate will have to register on the Daddy-Daughter Date Night website. There are four one-hour reservation times starting at 4:30 p.m. at each of the Bensalem and Trevose locations. The event is free to attend, except the cost of the food. ATM Skimmers Found in Bensalem and Lower Southampton

Authorities believe the ATM skimming devices were identified and removed quickly.

ATM skimmers ― illicit devices that blend into a cash machine's card slot, then record bank card info for later retrieval by a thief ― were found at two bank ATMs along Street Road earlier this month. PhillyBurbs.com reports that the devices were found on Jan. 11 on the ATMs of TD Bank branches at 2751 Street Road in Bensalem and at 701 East Street Road in Lower Southampton. Authorities believe that the devices were discovered quickly and that no customer accounts were compromised, the website reports. Other skimmers have recently been found on ATMs in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Philly.com said a similar incident occured in Medford, N.J. No Injuries in Afternoon Dryer Fire

Fire companies from several area departments responded to a fire on Summit Avenue in Lower Southampton on Thursday.

A dryer is to blame for a blaze that damaged the basement and kitchen of a house in the 2000 block of Summit Avenue in the Trevose section of Lower Southampton Thursday afternoon, officials said. No injuries were reported, but residents were in the house when the dryer fire was reported just before 2 p.m., township Fire Marshal Bill Oettinger said. Lower Southampton Fire Company Chief Steve Krippel said fire crews arrived to find heavy fire in the basement and smoke throughout the home. The cabinets in the kitchen above the basement were also ablaze. Firefighters went to work and had the fire extinguished in about 30 minutes, he said. Valley of Fear Rises from the Ashes for Grand Opening

After a devastating fire in August, Feasterville's Valley of Fear is ready to make people scream with fright this Halloween season.

Though a fire at the Valley of Fear seemed like a devastation back in August, causing $100,000 in damage and injuring six local fire fighters, the popular haunted attraction is ready to scare and frighten just in time for the Halloween season. In fact, the Valley of Fear is celebrating its grand opening tonight, Oct. 4. "We’re feeling great. We’re very positive about the season," Northampton resident and Valley of Fear operator Tom Yaegel told Patch. Lower Southampton, Bensalem Mosquito Spraying Slated for Tuesday

The Bucks County Department of Health will be conducting a mosquito spraying Tuesday, August 21 in Bensalem and Lower Southampton.

The Bucks County Department of Health has announced that it will be conducting a mosquito spraying, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, in Lower Southampton and Bensalem Tuesday, August 21. In Bensalem, the spraying will take place between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. - weather permitting. The spray will be limited to the municipal building property and open air theater. Immediately after spraying in Bensalem, Health Department officials will also be spraying the following streets in Lower Southampton Township: Sterner Mill Road between East Street Road and Philmont Avenue; Bruce Road; Fay Drive; David Drive and Ann Drive. Trevose Beer Burglary Suspect Believed to be Bensalem, Philadelphia Suspect

Lower Southampton Police believe that the suspect believed to have burglarized Trevose Beer is the same suspect involved in recent Bensalem and Philadelphia burglaries.

Surveillance cameras in the Trevose Square Shopping Center and Trevose Beer Store caught a suspect breaking into Trevose Beer in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 11. Lower Southampton Detective Eric Landamia said the actor in this incident is believed to be the same actor in recent Bensalem and Philadelphia burglaries -- the police report of this incident noted that the actor in this incident had the same "MO" of the actor in those burglaries.  Do you recognize the suspect in the surveillance photo? Memorial for crash victims grows at the scene of the crash in Upper Southampton.

The victims of Saturday evening’s motorcycle vs. car crash at Street Road and Knowles Avenue in Upper Southampton were identified as John “Jack” Edel, 52, of the Trevose section of Lower Southampton, and Ellen Kelly, 50, of Penndel. Police Seek Help in Identifying Theft Suspect

The Lower Southampton Police is asking the public to help them identify a suspect involved in a theft at B & R Family Fitness.

Lower Southampton Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft from B & R Family Fitness. According to Detective Eric Landamia, the pictured suspect snuck into a fitness center in Lower Southampton Township on June 20, 2012 through the handicapped entrance. He then entered a locker room, where he stole a set of car keys. The suspect is captured on surveillance outside using the keyless entry system to locate, and rummage through, the victim’s vehicle. The suspect stole the victim’s wallet, which contained retired law enforcement credentials, access devices, and other identification. The subject is pictured on a bike, but the stolen credit cards were used within 30 minutes of the theft at a Best Buy in Willow …

Man Shot by Police Following Chase Beginning in Feasterville

A man was shot by New Jersey State Police following a chase that began in Feasterville May 2.

A Delanco man was shot by a New Jersey State Police trooper early Wednesday morning following a cross-state chase that began in Feasterville. According to NJ.com, Michael Zaun, 30 of Delanco, NJ was shot twice at the front door of his girlfriend’s home in Brick Township, NJ. Zaun was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with gunshot wounds to the arm and upper body, which, as reported by NJ.com, the state Attorney General’s Office said were not life-threatening. No New Jersey State Police troopers were injured in the incident, however Zaun did fire a gun from the sunroof of his vehicle.
