Bensalem Mayor to Run for Re-election in 2013
Bensalem's Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo has plans to run for a sixth term.
Joseph DiGirolamo has been Bensalem's mayor for 20 years, and he's looking to extend that to a sixth term. DiGirolamo told Patch that he hopes to secure another 4-year term to continue the work that he's been doing for two decades. "I have the same incentives to help people, to help the community," DiGirolamo said. He added that his energy is the same as when he was first elected mayor in 1994, and that he wants to continue working for the Bensalem community. "There are things that I haven't finished," he said, "that I look forward to working on with the people." Redeveloping the riverfront is just one example of unfinished business that he would like to continue to focus on in his next term. But some people in Bensalem may think 20 years…

R Harris, apparently you’re getting your info from the township only, and you should do some fact checking yourself, because if you did, you would know that the paid fire department was founded in violation of township ordinances, with a fraudulently filled out grant, and while there is a need for a paid fire department during the day, they are supposed to be within the township doing their jobs…   more ›
