Bensalem High School Gym Presented to Public Monday

The community is invited to a presentation on Monday that will cover usage rules and the registration processes for the high school gymnasium.

The Bensalem Township School District has invited the community to a special presentation at the high school gymnasium Monday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.

The forum will map out the plans to open the facility to township residents, making good on an agreement between the school district and township administration.

Bensalem Township contributed $4 million toward the $15 million gymnasium, half from taxpayers, half from a matching state grant. In return for the funding, the district agreed to open the facility as a community center during non-school hours.

Monday's meeting will review residency requirements for usage, registration forms and fees, facilities availability, areas of gym open for community use and use regulations and guidelines.
