Funeral Fund Launched for Drowned Bensalem Teens

Perry Krewson's cousin has launched a web campaign to raise money for costly funeral expenses.

With the bodies of Perry Krewson and Dan Tadrzynski now recovered from the Neshaminy Creek after their tragic drowning on Tuesday, thoughts now must sadly turn to making funeral arrangements for the Bensalem teenagers.

The unimaginable sorrow the parents are feeling over the loss of their children now has an added stress of paying between $7,000 to $10,000, which is the average cost of a funeral according to the National Funeral Directors Association

That is why Krewson's cousin, Brittany Amber Taylor, has launched an Internet campaign to raise money to help the families with the expenses. The post on gofundme.com has a goal of $10,000, with donations made electronically by credit or debit cards. Donors can also leave messages of support for the families on the site.

Taylor remembers her cousin Perry Krewson as a fun-loving, unique kid with an impressive array of skills and abilities not common in young men today.

"He could make something out of anything, he was like MacGyver," said Taylor. "One Fourth of July, he went wandering in the woods for hours with another cousin. He found a pond, grabbed some sticks and other stuff and just started catching fish."

It came as no surprise to anybody who knew Krewson when he joined the Marine Corps. Taylor says it has been a goal for him since he was a little kid.

"He wanted to do something in the military," said Taylor. "He was just a great guy who never got into trouble with drugs or drinking."

Taylor did not know Tadrzynski personally, but the time she spent with both families over the past three days made it clear that they were both very close friends.

"Perry's dad said Dan was like his other son," said Taylor. "There is some solace knowing that they will always be together."
