Man Tried to Steal $40K in Parx Chips, Police Say

A New York man allegedly attempted to take chips from Parx Casino in Bensalem valued at more than $40,000.

A New York man who was reportedly losing at black jack, is facing three felony charges after he allegedly stole $43,550 in gaming chips from Parx Casino.

Radik Pinkhasov, 27, of the 7600 block of 168th Street in Fresh Meadows, N.Y., was arrested on Oct. 28 and charged with third-degree felony counts of robbery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, as well as a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an alleged altercation with a Parx Casino black jack dealer.

The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the Street Road casino on Oct. 28 at 10:44 p.m. after police received a report of someone attempting to steal gaming chips from the casino's "high limit room."

When police arrived, Pinkhasov was reportedly yelling that he "lost money," according to the affidavit of probable cause.

Witnesses told police that Pinkhasov was not playing at the table and was "sitting there and making rude and vulgar statements to other players," according to court documents. Pinkhasov allegedly made "disturbing and non-general threatening statements" before he "lunged forward" and grabbed chips from the black jack dealer, according to court records.

A security officer onsite was able to obtain the eight gray, seven purple and three green chips that Pinkhasov allegedly attempted to steal. In all, the chips are worth $43,550, according to police.

Pinkhasov is free after posting $100,000 bail and awaits a preliminary hearing this week.
